During the sailing the vessel loses the rudder due to serious damages over the Steel structure.
To save docking time we assume the manufacturing of the new rudder blade taking the existing forging boss (top part), this save time but it´s a technical challenge to align both conical cores (new one and older)
Some special welding sequence was implemented and also 3d Laser Tracker controls during the process.
The shipowner and shipyard were very satisfied with this job.
